Functional Exercise Coaching for Seniors

Stay Strong. Stay Steady. Stay Independent.

Why Exercise Matters

We winterize our homes and cars to get ready for the season. Why not our bodies?

As we age:

  • 1 in 3 older adults experiences a fall each year

  • Falls are the #1 cause of injury in seniors

  • Muscle loss and slower reactions make daily life harder

Exercise is the antidote.
Not intense workouts β€” but simple, guided movements that keep your body ready for what life throws at you.

πŸ‘‰ Because the truth is: strength isn’t just for athletes. It’s for anyone who wants to keep living life on their own terms.

Our sessions are safe, simple, and led by a Doctor of Physical Therapy.
We may use everyday tools such as:

  • Dumbbells & resistance bands – for arm, leg, and core strength

  • Foam balance pad & cones – for balance and stability training

  • Chairs & steps – for sit-to-stands and step-ups

  • Ankle weights & medicine balls – for light resistance and core training

And we train in different ways:

  • Strength training – to make stairs, groceries, and daily tasks easier

  • Balance training – to steady your feet and prevent falls

  • Agility & dynamic balance – so your body reacts quickly in emergencies

  • Mobility & flexibility – to keep joints moving freely

Every move has a purpose.

  • Squats β†’ help you get on/off the toilet or pick up something safely

  • Step-ups β†’ train you for stairs and curbs

  • Single-leg balance β†’ because every step you take is a β€œmini one-leg squat”

  • Reaching & rotating drills β†’ so you can grab items off shelves or turn quickly without losing balance

  • Reactive balance drills β†’ because life is unpredictable, and you need to respond fast to stay safe

πŸ‘‰ We don’t train for performance β€” we train for life.
